School Uniform
We are driven by our desire to provide a positive, safe and stimulating environment.At Tinsley Meadows Primary Academy we encourage our children to take pride in everything they do, including their appearance.
Uniform / Family Charter
Our uniform comprises of navy blue sweatshirt or cardigan (FS2-Y6) with the school logo, a white polo-shirt and either black or grey trousers, skirt or pinafore dress.
If head scarfs are worn these should be plain black safety head scarfs.
Plain black school shoes should be worn with no visible branding. For safety reasons we ask that children wear sensible shoes with grip, not flip flops or shoes with a high heel.
In the summer months children may wear blue checked dresses and tailored black or grey shorts.
To help support our community, we provide access to second-hand school uniform for all families. If you require second-hand uniform, please contact main reception for further information.

Please ensure that all items of clothing, including coats and shoes, are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
PE Kit
For PE activities we ask that children wear black shorts, a green t-shirt which is provided by school with the school logo on and plimsolls or trainers. For outdoor PE in colder weather, plain black or navy tracksuit bottoms and a plain black or navy sweatshirt are required, these should be kept in a small drawstring bag. If your child has long hair please ensure that they have a bobble to tie it back.
Guidance on the wearing of Jewellery
We would discourage children from wearing jewellery in school to prevent loss, damage or injury. However, if children have pierced ears we ask that only studs are worn. All jewellery, including stud earrings, must be removed before PE, swimming and any other sports or games activities.
Where can I buy the uniform?
For your convenience if you would like to purchase items of uniform with the school logo on them, cardigans and sweatshirts, there is a selection available to purchase through local suppliers including Jonny D’s and Pinders, which is why we have a school uniform. We ask parents and carers to support us in implementing this dress code.
