Twelve of our Y5 children completed their mini police training on Thursday.  Community Support Officer Lee and mini police trainer Lisa gave the children a good understanding of the different roles that there are in the police, as well as the need for fairness, integrity, diligence and respect.

Then our local police Sergeant came to visit and awarded them with their certificates and uniform and the children were awarded a tour of a police van, including a visit to the van cell!

The children had a fantastic time and were a credit to the school.  The police officers commented on how enthusiastic and well-mannered the children were.

The children will now be helping out at events and with different initiatives. They are allowed to wear their uniform at school if they want to!
