On Monday 1 April we received a special visit from St Luke’s Hospice due to our recent Biz Kids Challenge. Our Y6 children have been raising money for the past couple of months along with other schools in Sheffield to help raise money for families who are affected by life changing illnesses.
The Y6s carried out a range of exciting fundraising activities such as Splat the Teacher, Ice Bucket Challenge, sports competitions, non uniform days, raffles, and making and selling bracelets. After all their hard work our Biz Kids managed to raise an impressive £2808.52! Not only did they break the record set by our Biz Kids team last year, but they have also set a new record for the whole of Sheffield, having raised the most money a primary school has ever raised as part of the Biz Kids challenge, beating all the other schools by over £1000. The Tinsley Meadows pupils won a trophy for raising the most money and were also given an award for their teamwork skills.
Congratulations to all our Biz Kids on their hard work and success! And thank you to all the parents and children who took part in this charitable cause and supported us in raising such a mind-blowing total.
