This week, Pearl class went on a trip to the Millennium Galleries in Sheffield. We had a look around the Winter Gardens and then we had a Portrait Workshop in the Graves Gallery. The children learned the difference between landscape and portrait painting. They had a go at drawing self-portraits using different techniques. They had the opportunity to dress up in historical costumes posing for various portraits. The children then explored the gallery and enjoyed the work of artists on display in the Graves Gallery. The children’s behaviour was fantastic and we all had a good time!
