A group of Y6 children are taking part in the Biz Kids project to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice. They have been working hard and have come up with ideas for some really good fundraising activities.
They have been selling friendship bracelets, organised a non-uniform day and asked for sponsors.
They still have much more planned! Coming up we have non-uniform days on 29th Jan and 4th March, a cake/biscuit sale on 2nd Feb, and also ‘Splat The Teacher’ – each year group has voted for one adult to be ‘Splatted’ and do the famous ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’. Weather permitting, ‘Splat The Teacher’ will take place on Jan 26th with the Y4 teachers and the children will pay £1 for three sponges. A big thank you to the teachers who have put themselves forward for the challenge! We also hope to arrange a ‘Match Attack’ football tournament, a girls/staff netball game, and a raffle.
So far they have raised £510 towards their target of £1500 – well done Biz Kids!
